TRADITIONAL STYLE BEACH BUNGALOWS
The Retreat is constructed using a mix of PNG hardwoods & local New Ireland (Niu Ailan) 'bush material' to create traditionally styled bungalows with an island vernacular, designed to blend in with the natural environment. Accommodation is in the form of simple yet high quality free standing bungalows, either elevated along the beachfront, perched over the water or nestled in our lush, tropical garden. The rooms boast comfortable furnishings and large verandahs to ensure there's ample space to kick back and indulge in the views.
Being a relatively small facility of 12 rooms ensures limited numbers and affords a private, relaxed holiday environment with personalised service and attention to guests. Whilst all rooms are of similar construction and standard, we offer two grades of accommodation:

Our bathrooms are fitted with dry compost toilets and cool (not heated) showers, keeping with Nusa's eco-conscious, low-impact approach. All rooms are equipped with mosquito netting, quality mattresses, bed linen, towels & ceiling / pedestal fans and charging points.

The premium overwater bungalows are situated over water. You will enjoy relaxing to the sounds of the tide coming and going and the slow hum of ocean life, not to mention extra privacy. The rooms boast comfortable furnishings and a large verandah to ensure there's ample space to kick back & indulge in the views.

Enjoy the ocean breeze in our premium beach front bungalows
The premium beachfront bungalows are situated overlooking our shoreline. Wake to the sun rising over the horizon and the ocean breeze drifting through your verandah, with the gentle sounds of the tide close by.The rooms boast comfortable furnishings and a large verandah to ensure there's ample space to kick back & indulge in the views.

Standard Garden
Immerse yourself in nature in our budget friendly garden bungalows
The standard garden bungalows are nestled in our lush, tropical garden. You will enjoy relaxing to the soft rustling of leaves and calming sounds of the birds. The room is similar in style and layout to the premium bungalows except with corrugated iron roofing.
